Give In-Kind donations

Thank you for considering a donation to Violence Free Futures. Your generosity helps us provide essential items to the individuals and families we serve across our programs. Below is a list of items we need and how you can help make a difference.

Why Give? Violence Free Futures is dedicated to creating lasting change through our comprehensive prevention, intervention, safe housing, and outreach services. Every donation we receive—whether in-kind or financial—helps us protect survivors and rebuild lives. Your support directly impacts individuals and families in Greene County and beyond, enhancing their quality of life and giving them hope for a brighter, violence-free future. Thank you for being part of this life-changing work.

Please refer to the list below to see what items we are currently accepting. For more information, to arrange a large donation, or coordinate a drive, please contact our Community Relations Department at 937.426.6535. Thank you for your support.

How to Donate Items

Drop off your items at a local Goodwill store. Please retain your receipt and give a copy to Violence Free Futures via mail, email, fax, or drop off in person. As survivors begin to rebuild their lives, this partnership allows our clients the dignity and flexibility of choosing the items they need from Goodwill.

For furniture and appliances, please contact us to confirm current needs. We appreciate donations of good-quality items to help families begin their new, violence-free future.

Additionally, you can shop our wishlists on Amazon.com and Chewy.com to have items directly shipped to us. Please use the links below.

How Can You Help?

Please view our policies for specific item donations and the items we are in need of below.

While we do not have storage for clothing, books, or televisions, you can still help our clients by donating these items to Goodwill. Through our partnership with Goodwill, a percentage of donations made on our behalf will be converted into gift cards that we give to clients, allowing them to shop for what they need when needed.

You can support survivors by providing full-sized hygiene products and home essentials. These items are given to individuals transitioning from our shelter into new housing, helping them settle into their new space with dignity and comfort.

Hygiene Kit Items:

  • Soap, shampoo, lotion, toothbrushes, and toothpaste.

(Please donate new and unopened items only)

Home Starter Kit Items:

  • Cleaning supplies (e.g., oven cleaner, dish soap, disinfectants)
  • Paper towels, trash bags, rubber gloves
  • Non-perishable food items

Help Greene County’s domestic violence survivors by organizing a cleaning supplies drive. You can partner with your business, place of worship, or community group to collect essential items.

-Baking soda, dishwashing liquid, and kitchen cleanser

-All-purpose cleaner, sponges, dish towels, disinfectants, and scrubbers

Brighten the holidays by sponsoring a family in need. You’ll be provided with the names, ages, and wish lists of family members so you can make their holiday season a little brighter. For more information, please contact us at 937.426.6535.

Our clients often arrive with nothing but the clothes on their backs. You can help by providing gift cards to grocery stores like Walmart, Kroger, or Meijer. These cards allow clients in crisis to buy the food they need.

Gift cards also help provide holiday dinners, allowing survivors and their families to celebrate together in the safety of our shelter.

Donate baby hygiene kits to help newborns thrive. These kits will be given to mothers and infants in our shelter, helping them start their journey in a safe, nurturing environment.

Suggested Items:

-Bottles, formula, and baby soap

-Receiving blankets, diapers, baby socks, and undershirts

Violence Free Futures proudly offers shelter services for families and their pets. To help keep these pets happy and healthy during their stay, we need the following:
